Kingston is situated in southwest London, about 10 miles away from Charing Cross. It is home to two Royal Parks, Hampton Court Palace and an excellent shopping hub. It is one of the greenest areas of London with the famous Richmond Park and Hampton Court in close vicinity. This leafy area has a mix of architectural styles, including buildings from Victorian and Edwardian period. The River Thames runs through Kingston and connects the town to central London. There are river boats, many restaurants, pubs and cafes for those who would like to enjoy the beautiful spots of Kingston. The town offers fantastic shopping facilities with many high street chains, unique boutiques and a historic Market Place which is over 800 years old. It is one of the safest areas in London that provides easy access to the city centre.
The PLUS centre is located between Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common. It is an attractive hillside university campus that offers modern buildings and facilities. It is surrounded by landscaped gardens and green open spaces. The campus is self-contained and all facilities are within walking distance. There are tennis courts, a student bar, restaurant, learning cafe and a lot of social spaces. It provides an excellent green and safe background for students, with a friendly community feel. The campus offers free transfers to the nearest station and town centre so it is easy get around. Central London can be easily reached in about 35 minutes by public transport.
The center is advisable for young learners aged 13 to 17.
On-campus accommodation is in single en-suite rooms in flats of 6-8 bedrooms. Flats include a kitchenette and common area for relaxing.
